A man has been taken into custody following a suspected wounding at Bargara, police have confirmed.
It’s believed an argument between two men broke out on the Esplanade shortly after 8pm on Friday night.
Police are focusing on a section of the turtle playground, where it’s understood the disturbance occurred.
Witnesses say the two men were escorted out of a nearby tavern before the argument escalated near the beach.
One man was injured in the incident.
He was taken to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition in the company of a police unit.
Other officers remained at the location, with a Scenes of Crime unit on their way.
A Queensland Police spokesperson told a reporter on scene that there was no threat to the community.
Investigations are continuing.
