Ocean Heights Estate at Elliott Heads could grow by more than 100 lots

There’s no doubt more and more people are flocking to the Bundaberg region for a sea change, and more home building land right by the beach could become available soon.
A reconfiguring of a lot application was recently lodged with council for a new 172 lot subdivision at Elliott Heads.
The application seeks to subdivide a 16.16 hectare site on Atkinsons Rd and Shine St, not far from the esplanade.
The new lots will serve as an extension of Ocean Heights Estate which continues to be developed on Atkinsons Rd opposite the land.
“Earlier stages of Ocean Heights saw the creation of Sea Pearl Drive and its construction southward toward Atkinsons Road,” the application says.
The lots would vary in size between 700 and 1050 square metres.
Plans show the lots would be released in nine stages.
The new stage of Ocean Heights isn’t the only subdivision on the horizon.
Last week a development application was approved by council for a new subdivision at South Kolan.
If it gets the green light, the subdivision will see 38 new lots built at the site.
