Man dies after car crashes into tree at South Kolan, Bundaberg
Police have launched an investigation after a driver died when his car hit a tree on Sunday afternoon.
A man has died after a car crashed into a tree near Bundaberg.
Investigations by police indicate a Nissan Tiida was travelling on Hill End Rd around 2.24pm, Sunday, December 7, when the vehicle left the road and struck a tree, a Queensland Police Service spokesman said.
The driver, a 75-year-old Bundaberg West man, sustained critical injuries and died at the scene, the QPS spokesman said.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said paramedics were called to the intersection of Cedars Rd and Hill End Rd at South Kolan about 2.20pm and assessed a man in a life threatening condition.
Traffic was affected on both Cedars Rd and Hill Rd as well as the intersection of Cedars Rd and Church Rd.
The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating and anyone with information or vision is asked to contact police.
