Police say investigations remain ongoing almost a month after a teenager was critically injured in a horror crash, from which the driver allegedly fled, at Kalkie in Bundaberg.
Milla Jade Bennett suffered serious injuries in the single vehicle crash on Saturday September 24, when it rolled at McGills Rd shortly before 1.40pm.
Police said at the time Ms Bennett, a passenger, was thrown from the car in the crash.
She suffered “significant” internal injuries and a head injury and was rushed to Bundaberg Base Hospital before being flown to Brisbane.
A second patient, a man of unidentified age, was taken to the hospital in a stable condition.
The driver allegedly fled the scene, sparking a police manhunt.
Ms Bennett has since been discharged from the hospital.
On Wednesday police declined to comment further on whether they had spoken with the driver and instead said “police are continuing their inquiries”.
Officers have called for anyone with dashcam footage or who witnessed to the crash to come forward.
