Endeavour Foundation

Workers at the Endeavour Foundation at Bundaberg are proud as punch with their efforts in this year’s Mother’s Day harvest with 70,000 locally-grown chrysanthemums set to be picked.

The organisation has been assisting people living with disabilities to gain vital skills, employment and independence for the last seven decades.

Bundaberg residents will have their pick of the crop with multiple colours and 45 different varieties available to gift on Mother’s Day.

Bunches cost $15 each and will be available to purchase from the Endeavour Foundation at 1 Fitzgerald St from Tuesday to Friday up until May 7 between 7.30am and 3.30pm.

The local Endeavour Foundation stall will also be operating on May 8 between 6am and 4pm and on May 9 from 6am and midday.

Flowers will also be available at Bundaberg’s Bunnings Warehouse on May 7 or at the Early Holden Car Club Show on May 8.

Shout mum’s breakfast or lunch with a scenic landscape to enjoy by the river with markets, live music by Tahli Thomas and a fully-stocked buffet.

Ashleigh Bowman from Somewhere to Eat will be catering the breakfast and lunch buffets with plenty of tasty options available on May 9.

Breakfast features scrambled, fried and poached eggs, fried tomato, sauteed mushrooms, beans, ham, sausages, bacon, corn fritters, hash browns, savoury mince, croissants, fried steak with onion gravy, pancakes, toast, fresh fruit, yoghurt, granola, muffins and danishes.

While lunch includes pulled pork nachos, cheeseburgers, chicken pieces, honey chicken, sweet and sour pork, Hawaiian chicken, fried rice, potato bake, chips, fish bites, panko calamari, curry prawns, beef and gravy, vegetable stir-fry, penne carbonara, salads and bread rolls.

The event will take place on May 9 at RiverFeast on Scotland St, Bundaberg East with three separate timeslots available.

Pricing: Adults – $19.90, kids under 12 – $9.90 for breakfast or adults – $24.90, kids under 12 – $12.90 for lunch.
