Tributes flow for Boyd Cronin following tragic Coonarr Beach crash
Heartbroken friends of the 17-year-old boy killed in a motorbike accident on the beach near Bundaberg have called for a ‘good send off’ for the avid motorcyclist and fisherman who touched many lives.

Tributes are flowing for Boyd Cronin, the 17-year-old Meadowvale boy whose life was tragically and prematurely ended in the latest deadly incident at a popular hooning and beach party spot near Bundaberg.
Boyd died at Coonarr Beach from injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash around 8pm on Saturday, December 9.
A 20-year-old Bundaberg North man riding another motorcycle involved in the incident was rushed to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition with serious leg and arm injuries.
In a media conference on Monday, police confirmed the two motorcyclists were known to each other, and they were on a camping trip when the accident occurred.

On Sunday, a friend of Boyd, Billy Arnott, created a GoFundMe to raise money to support Boyd’s family, including his parents and two older brothers.
In a message posted in the GoFundMe Billy described his friend as “a beautiful soul” who “died doing what he loves”.
“Boyd was nothing but a beautiful soul,” the message reads.
“He ... was always trying to help others and was just an amazing human being with so much to give and so much to do.
“I don’t think there is a single person in this planet that could say a bad thing about him.
“He had so much going for him and ... I can’t help but feel for his family.
“In a way, it brings me peace knowing he died doing what he loves.
“He was taken from this planet way too soon.
“Rest In Peace Brother.”
Billy called for the community to donate generously in support of Boyd’s family who “have been left with a giant hole in all of their hearts”.
“Boyd was a good kid, he was raised by beautiful parents and was surrounded by so many beautiful friends and even more beautiful family members,” his message reads.
“Thank you for being an amazing mate and helping me through so much, this is the least I can do for your family brother.”
The mother of Boyd’s best friend Will, Natalie Bebendorf, posted a message “ride high now buddy”.
“I couldn’t of asked for a better mate for my boy,” her message reads.
“You will be in our hearts always.”
An Instagram reel posted by friend Storm shows Boyd riding his motorbike on a beach together with the message “the thing that took (you) from this world”.
Boyd’s friend Will posted a series of pictures of his best mate, along with a message “mate if (you are) up there somewhere and see this I hope you know I love you and I will never forget about (you)”.
Another friend, Zarli Rain posted a message “love you Boydo we miss you”, while McLennan Ash said he will always treasure the memories of his dear friend.

“Rest in peace brother hope (you are) sending it up there all in respect for his family & friends,” McLennan’s message reads.
“He deserves a good send off rest easy bro in another life.
“Our memories will always be in my heart.”
