A recovery team has carried out a daring two-day retrieval of a 12.192m yacht wrecked along the rocky shoreline near Bundaberg.
Images which show the expensive yacht in pieces at Bargara were shared by Clayton’s Towing on Friday.
The company’s owner Mike Clayton said the area the yacht was in presented significant difficulties due to the limited access.
He explained his marine team used a 100m winch line from an excavator to painstakingly recover the remains from the rocks and transport them to the foreshore.
The tedious process began on Tuesday and involved meticulous co-ordination as Wide Bay Cranes lifted sections of the yacht over the trees.
Meanwhile, Bilby Skip Bins were used to hand-load all the smaller debris, ensuring that the rocks and foreshore were left as if they were untouched.
“It was done over two days Tuesday and Wednesday, took time to hand clean up all the small bits of the boat in the rocks as it had broken apart,” Mr Clayton said.
