Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk announced $600M spend on Paradise Dam

Teachers are the backbone of many communities, not only educating our children, but helping them reach their full potential.

The work of a teacher goes beyond just an educator, as they inspire students to thrive in and out of the classroom.

To celebrate the importance of teachers across the Bundaberg region, the NewsMail put the call out for readers to nominate their favourite teachers.

The community responded, and the nominees are in for who they believe deserves the top spot for 2022.

Libby French said on Facebook the Moore Park Beach community was very lucky to have teacher Heidi Brown.

“She makes learning fun and believes in the importance of community connections,” Ms French said.

As for Jenna Brown, she gives a shout out to principal at Kalkie State School, Malinda Findlay.

“She has most certainly gone above and beyond for all children, parents and staff at Kalkie, creating the most amazing atmosphere at Kalkie school from the day she arrived,” Ms Brown said.

Last year, Gin Gin State School principal Adam Fritz was voted the best teacher in the region. Who will get it this year?

Vote in the poll for who you think deserves to be crowned Bundaberg’s Top Teacher for 2022.
