Bundaberg Show to attract more than 18,000 people
The Bundaberg Show is back for 2023. From booked out horse and cattle competitions to the biggest rides – here’s what’s on offer at the three-day event and your guide to FREE entertainment extras.

Crowds of more than 18,000 are expected to pack into the Bundaberg Showground over the next three days, with show president, Maree See saying there’s more attractions than ever before.
Along with the returning attractions, there will be two or three more “massive” rides, along with more live entertainment to keep the kids occupied for hours.
“This year’s sideshow alley is packed with rides and attractions,” she told the NewsMail ahead of the loved annual event

“This year we wanted to ensure that once guests enter the gates, the entertainment is free.
“They have the option to either buy food and drink at the show or to bring a packed lunch and enjoy a picnic.”
There will be all day free entertainment with a Troppo Bob Magic show, Pygmy Goat display, Professor Wallace Puppets, Medieval Display, Urban Reptile display, Frivolous faces face painting and Vintage machinery display.
The showbags, which have sold out for the last two years, are also back with a “mega” variety of options.
2023 Gin Gin Show shapes up to be ‘most entertaining’ one yet
The main stage is set to draw a crowd, given the nomination of more than 90 head of cattle and complete booking of the horse and team penning competitions.
There will be the El Jay Freestyle Motocross display, and a Formatt Machinery rodeo, which will be held on Friday night, from 4pm onwards.
The fireworks will be set off at 8pm, Wednesday and Thursday night, while Friday night from 9pm, the popular Bundaberg band, Spargo Brothers, will be playing in the rodeo bar area until 11:30pm.
“We have 70 volunteers this year, with 100% of the show run by volunteers.”

Admission fees are $20 for adults, and $10 for children, teenagers and pensioners.
