A day of heavy rains and wild winds didn’t stop Bundaberg racegoers from celebrating the race that stops the nation.

Pinks and florals were the trending style for a day of spring racing, with classic fashions and bold fascinators adoring the racing spectators.

Demi-Lee Roebuck was a standout winner in the Contemporary section of the Fashions on the Field, wearing a dress designed my her mother and local designer Lennee Graham from St Blonde.

The wild weather may have played a hand in the results of the first race of the day, with Metallic Reign racing past the finish post without a jockey on board.
