Bundaberg man fronts court on hate crime charges
A Bundaberg man’s list of charges have been revealed, including an accusation he committed a hate crime in public.

A Bundaberg man has faced court charged with a slew of domestic violence charges.
Joshua Kyle Bressler, appeared before Magistrate Rowan via video link on Monday, accused of six charges including assault and deprivation of liberty.
On Monday, a full list of Bressler’s charges were revealed to the court.
The Bundaberg man is accused of one count of deprivation of liberty - unlawfully detain/confine- domestic violence offence, one count of assault occasioning bodily harm - domestic violence offence, three counts of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm or transmit disease- domestic violence offence, one count of commit public nuisance- serious vilification or hate crime.
Bressler made an application to seek alternative legal counsel despite there being no dispute with his current representative Charlotte Anne Neilson of Maloy Law.
Magistrate Edwina Rowan said Bressler he was entitled to file a new legal aid application but would not have choice over who would represent him.
Bressler opted to proceed with his current legal counsel and the matter was adjourned to July 14, 2025.
