BREAKING: Rescue helicopter tasked to serious crash north of Bundaberg

UPDATE 4pm: A man has died after a crash near Oakwood earlier today. 

A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said initial investigations suggest about 10.20am today (April 26), a Mitsubishi Magna and a motorhome collided on Rosedale Road.

"The driver and passenger of the motorhome, a 72-year-old woman and a 74-year-old man from the Mooloolah Valley area, were transported to Bundaberg Hospital for treatment to non-life-threatening injuries," the spokesperson said.

"The driver and sole occupant of the Magna, a man believed to be aged in his 30s, was pronounced deceased at the scene."

The road has reopened following the crash with Forensic Crash Unit investigations ongoing.

UPDATE 3.50pm: Rosedale Rd is open after a fatal traffic crash near the Booloongie Rd intersection closed the road earlier today. 

UPDATE 12.55pm: A Queensland Police Service spokesperson has confirmed the forensic crash unit is investigating a fatal crash in Bundaberg. 

The spokesperson said Rosedale Rd is closed south of the crash. 

Investigations are ongoing. 

 

UPDATE: Emergency services are on the scene of a serious two-vehicle crash north of Bundaberg.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said three patients were assessed at the scene on Rosedale and Booloongie Rds. 

The spokesperson said one person had critical injuries and two people had been taken to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition. 

Queensland Police Service is advising drivers to avoid the intersection of Rosedale and Booloongie Rds. 

Delays are expected in the area for some time. 

The incident happened at 10.19am.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said paramedics were at the scene on Rosedale Rd and Booloongie Rd, Meadowvale.

The Queensland Police Service has urged motorists to avoid the intersection of Rosedale and Booloongie Rds. 

Delays are expected in the area for some time. 

The rescue helicopter had been tasked.

The incident happened at 10.19am.
