A 14-YEAR-OLD Brisbane boy was airlifted from Fraser Island's Kingfisher Bay Resort after being injured in a Segway accident.
It is believed the teen was holidaying with family when he fractured his left ankle as a result of the accident.
The Bundaberg RACQ CareFlight Rescue was tasked to fly to the island at 8.30pm on Monday night.
The CareFlight medical team assessed the boy on-site, before taking him to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition.
He was accompanied by his mother for the flight.
The mission marked the end of a particularly busy day for RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopters, with crews from the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Mount Isa, Toowoomba, and Bundaberg flying a combined eight missions.
