GP clinic opens at Bundaberg North High School

The remarkable difference a decade can make has been captured on camera with new images revealing how some of Bundaberg’s most popular schools have changed n the past 10 years.

The photographs, captured by aerial image company Nearmap, show the changes many of the region’s schools have undergone as they expand to accommodate the growing population.

The Bundaberg region’s population has increased 9.5 per cent in 10 years, hitting the 100,000 mark in 2022.

There has been no shortage of construction and development at many of the region’s schools in that time.

The region's schools have been going from strength to strength, with upgrades and new programs being announced regularly.

In May 2022, Bundaberg North State School became one of 54 schools in the state to have its own bulk-billing GP on-site.

In 2021, Kepnock State High School and Bundaberg South State School benefited from funding to increase safety and facilities.

Bundaberg South State School received $440,000 worth of new security fencing, while Kepnock High benefited from a new lift and covered walkway.

Also in 2021, came the announcement of $1.5 million of infrastructure funding for the region‘s schools.
