A 19-year-old woman accused of running over the chest of plainclothes police officer in a daylight hit-and-run told a court she believed she was being carjacked.
Aaliyah May Spencer appeared via video link in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Monday, November 18, following the drama at Walkervale on Sunday afternoon.
Ms Spencer, who runs an OnlyFans account with 84 subscribers and 4500 likes, had posted content to her page just days before the alleged hit-and-run.
The self proclaimed Instagram “wild card” was arrested on Sunday, November 17, and charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle, failing to comply with driver duties after a crash, and possessing drug utensils.
No pleas have been entered to these charges.
According to her Facebook account, Ms Spencer is a former cook at KFC, and former student of the Burnett Youth Learning Centre, Kepnock State High School and Shalom College.
Police allege plain clothes officers were conducting checks on an abandoned stolen vehicle on Hurst Street, Walkervale in Bundaberg just before 4pm on Sunday.
They allegedly saw two people walking towards the vehicle, with a silver Subaru Forester following at walking pace behind them.
The court heard that upon approaching the silver station wagon, Senior Constable Harding saw Ms Spencer behind the wheel, along with four other individuals, and told her to stop and get out of the car.
Ms Spencer did not stop and get out, but allegedly reversed and manoeuvred the vehicle towards the gutter on the left.
Snr Const Harding was left on the ground, and the car allegedly drove over his chest and lower limbs, the court heard.
He was taken to Bundaberg Base Hospital with minor chest and foot injuries, and later discharged.
Police also allegedly found a glass pipe used for smoking methamphetamine at her residence.
The court heard Ms Spencer, who earns a significant amount of her income through her OnlyFans account, was on conditional bail at the time of the alleged hit-and-run.
She was refused bail on the charges, and will next appear in court on December 16.
