A DUSTY haze that has settled over Brisbane could last for several days, the weather bureau says.
Meteorologist Dean Narramore said the haze is a combination of smoke blowing in from bushfires and dust storms from inland Queensland and northern NSW.
He said the haze has landed over Brisbane due to the dry and windy conditions.

“Because the wind today is south-westerly, we’re seeing smoke blowing from NSW and from fires along the range towards Boonah,” Mr Narramore said.
“It (the haze) will probably get thicker towards this afternoon and this evening as the wind direction continues to blow it towards the southeast.”
Mr Narramore said the haze is set to remain over Brisbane tomorrow before clearing up on Monday when the wind is expected to change to a north-easterly direction.
However, the dusty cloud and dangerous fire conditions could return before too long.
“The dry and windy conditions are set to return on Tuesday and Wednesday meaning high fire danger again,” Mr Narramore said.
