Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) Acting Commissioner Mike Wassing said fire crews were battling multiple blazes and all possible steps had to be taken to prevent further fires igniting.
“We’re experiencing tinder box-like conditions across much of the state and all it takes is one spark to start a fire that may burn for days,” Mr Wassing said.

It is now too late to leave the area. Driving now would be extremely dangerous.

Currently as at 11.15pm Saturday 9 November, a dangerous fire continues to travel in a northerly direction towards Druces Road and Mapes Road. It is expected to impact Mapes Road and Druces Road in around one hour to one and a half hours. It is currently burning near Norpine Road and Woodbine Road, including Paradigm Road, Daly Creek Road and Stones Road. It is impacting Bungundarra Road, Mount Rae Road and Woodbury Road. The fire is expected to have a significant impact on the community.
Conditions are now very dangerous, and firefighters are unable to prevent the fire advancing.
The fire poses a threat to all lives directly in its path. Fire crews may not be able to protect your property. You should not expect a firefighter at your door: act now. Power, water, and mobile phone service may be lost.

Currently as at 11pm Saturday 9 November, a slow-moving fire is burning in Cooroibah. The fire continues to travel in a westerly direction towards McKinnon Drive.
Residents located on McKinnon Drive between Tronson Road and Louis Brazzo Drive, including Goshawk Lane, Riverpark Drive, Boreen Street, Cootharaba Street, Bundoora Street, Eulama Street, Teewah Street and Mooyour Street, should evacuate in a southerly direction along McKinnon Drive.
The fire is expected to have a significant impact on the community.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) advises there is a bushfire in Cooroibah.
Residents in Noosa Banks, Noosa North Shore, areas of Cooroibah and Ringtail Creek already evacuated, must not return to their properties, as conditions are still too dangerous.
Queensland Police are advising residents when they can return to these areas. Follow the direction of authorities.
All other residents of Tewantin can return to their properties.
Residents who are returning need to keep up to date and decide what actions they will take if the situation changes.
Currently as at 11.30pm Saturday 9 November, a bushfire continues to burn in the Cooroibah area.
Crews are continuing to monitor the Tewantin area.

The progress of the fire has slowed in part due to a period of more favourable weather conditions. However, a forecast wind change later in the morning is expected to cause conditions to deteriorate once more. Local fire ban for Central Region residents

QFES has imposed a local fire ban for Central Region residents.
The local fire ban will be in place from 1000 hrs Saturday 9 November for residents in the Central Highlands, Woorabinda, Banana, Gladstone, Livingstone, Rockhampton, Mackay, Isaac, Whitsunday, Barcoo, Barcaldine, Longreach, Blackall-Tambo, Winton and Isisford Local Government Areas.
Heightened fire conditions are perfect for bushfires to ignite and spread quickly.
Under a local fire ban all open fires are prohibited and all Permits to Light Fire which have been issued in the designated areas have been cancelled.
Power tools may be used during a local fire ban however QFES encourages people to use these with extreme care and ensure adequate equipment is available to extinguish any fire which may start.
This may include having a person available to watch out for any ignitions that occur.
The ban is expected to remain in place until 2359 hrs Monday 11 November.

QFES advises there is a bushfire in Lower Beechmont and conditions could get worse.
You need to be ready to follow your bushfire survival plan. If you do not have a plan, or intend to leave, you should be ready to leave the area because the situation could get worse quickly.
Currently a bushfire is impacting North Road, Freemans Road and Outlook Ave. It is travelling in a north-easterly direction towards Hellfire Pass.

Bushfire warning level: WATCH AND ACT
QFES advises there is a bushfire in Thornton and Lefthand Branch and conditions are getting worse.
Currently a dangerous fire is travelling in a south-easterly direction towards Main Camp Creek Road. It is impacting Main Camp Creek Road now. The fire could have a significant impact on the community.
Follow your bushfire survival plan now. If you do not have a plan, your safest option is to leave now if it is clear to do so. If you are not in the area, do not return, as conditions are too dangerous.
