Brisbane mother wins division one in $100m Powerball draw
A Brisbane mother who is one of three people to have the winning numbers in last night’s mega $100m Powerball draw has described her children’s hilarious reaction when she discovered her massive win.

A Queensland woman is one of three people to have the winning numbers in last night’s mega $100m Powerball draw.
The mother from Durack, in Brisbane’s southwest, collected $34.2 million after buying herself a ticket for Christmas at Nextra Forest Lake News
Her division one win of $33,333,333.34 was topped up with an extra million dollars after her entry also snagged division two 19 times.
Hearing of her win on Thursday night, the woman told callers from The Lott she was shaking.
“I just happened to have a look on The Lott app just before, and I saw the numbers lit up,” she said.
“I just jumped to the roof and screamed! The kids thought a cockroach in the kitchen.
“I bought this ticket for myself for Christmas. Thank you so much. That’s a bit of coin!”
“This will definitely change our lives. This will not only help my family but also help us move forward with a better life.
Newsagent Wayne Jones said he was thrilled for his customer.
“ … sold a few division ones over the years, but this is by far the biggest,” he said.
“Congratulations to our winner and we wish them all the very best with their prize!”
The other two winners were from NSW.
One of them, a man from Burwood, said he rarely bought Powerball tickets and was incredulous at the size of his win.
“Are you f---ing kidding me!? Jesus Christ!”, was his response when The Lott called.
“I am absolutely speechless. We only play from time to time. In fact, we play Powerball ery rarely.”
The third winner had not been contacted on Thursday night.
The winning numbers were 9, 26, 4, 23, 22, 6 and 24. The Powerball was 18.
