Boy hospitalised after suffering dog bite to face

A young boy has been rushed to hospital after he was bitten on the face by a dog while on an afternoon walk on Brisbane’s bayside.

A 10-year-old boy has been hospitalised with serious injuries after he was bitten on the cheek by a dog.

Emergency services were called to a location in Wynnum at 5.15pm after the boy was bitten by a large black dog.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said the boy was on a walk when the incident occurred.

He was taken to the Queensland Children’s Hospital in a serious condition.
