Agonising delays as peak hour mayhem kicks off
Motorists are being warned of lengthy delays as multiple crashes are causing heavy traffic to build across Brisbane.

Peak hour congestion is building right throughout the greater Brisbane area, with delays of up to 40 minutes for some commuters.
There is a two-car crash on the Bruce Hwy northbound near Brays Road at Murrumba Downs. As a result traffic is back over the Pine Rivers Bridge back onto the Gateway Motorway and Gympie Arterial Road at Bald Hill. A tow truck is on scene waiting to remove the last vehicle.
Elsewhere the M1 in North Brisbane is experiencing heavy traffic, with 40 minute delays from Narangba to Mango Hill. A crash is believed to be the source of the congestion there.
The inner-city run through Brisbane appears to be relatively unaffected by the peak hour traffic conditions elsewhere, with a slight delay on the usually busy stretch.
An earlier multi-car crash on the Gateway Motorway at Nudgee means a slow run through the suburb. Traffic in the area is creating delays of up to 15 minutes. The incident has since been cleared.
