Police investigating after ute rams car in shocking road rage at Bundall
Dashcam footage has captured a heated exchange between two drivers before a ute rams a car in a shocking road rage incident on the Gold Coast.
A terrifying road rage incident on the Gold Coast has been caught on camera.
The dramatic footage shows a dark-coloured vehicle stop at traffic lights on the corner of Southport-Burleigh Rd and Salerno St at Bundall on Monday night.
A male driver gets out of the vehicle and storms over to a Ford Ranger, which is stopped two lanes over.
The man kicks the side of the Ford and appears to yell and point at the person inside.
As the man walks away, the Ford then crosses over two lanes, stops in front of the other car and reverses straight back into it at speed, pushing the vehicle backwards.
The Ford starts to drive off but the man chases after it and opens the driver’s side door before a heated exchange between the pair ensues.
Queensland Police confirmed it was aware of the incident.
“Police have received a complaint of assault and are currently investigating,” a spokeswoman said.
“The incident occurred around 6.50pm on November 24 on Southport-Burleigh Rd, Bundall.
“Investigators are appealing for anyone who may have dashcam footage from the area at that time to contact police to assist with the investigation.”
The footage was posted to the Dash Cam Owners Australia page on Facebook.
