An uber driver experienced the share ride from hell when his passengers pulled out weapons during the ride.

Toowoomba police are investigating the armed robbery of an uber driver in Newtown overnight.

Queensland Police spokesman said shortly before midnight on November 29 the uber driver picked up two men and a woman from an address on Brook St.

It’s understood the trio had asked to be driven to the Newtown Hotel, and during the journey they allegedly pulled out weapons and demanded the driver to hand over their keys and wallet.

The QPS spokesman said the victim driver complied with the demands and exited the vehicle, a white Toyota Camry sedan, unharmed.

It is then alleged a man who was sitting in the front passenger seat moved into the driver’s seat and has driven away.

Investigations are ongoing.
