Police charge two people over number of alleged armed robberies and attempted break-in around Toowoomba
Multiple terrifying incidents took place across Toowoomba where teens were allegedly armed with hammers and machetes while attempting to steal cars.

Two people have been remanded in custody over a spate of alleged armed robberies and an attempted break and enter in the Toowoomba region.
Police will allege about 7am on July 2 a man threatened a 39-year-old man with a machete at a Ruthven St property, before stealing a white Renault Kangoo.
It’s understood the owner of the vehicle was not physically injured.
Later the same evening, police received reports of two people attempting to break into two vehicles and a home in Centenary Heights, with the offenders fleeing the scene before anything was stolen.
Shortly after about 8.35pm two offenders were allegedly searching a Mitsubishi Triton parked at a Debra St property in the same suburb, when they were confronted by the vehicle’s owner.
Police allege the offenders then threatened the owner with a hammer, demanding his car keys before taking off in the Mitsubishi Triton.
The owner of the vehicle, a 29-year-old man, was not physically injured.
Officers located the two stolen vehicles at an Orlando Crt property in Wilsonton Heights on July 3, and two people were taken into custody.
A 19-year-old man has been charged with 11 offences including three counts of attempted enter premises with intent to commit, two counts of armed robbery and unlawful use of a motor vehicle, one count each of attempted enter premises with intent to commit while armed, attempted enter premises with intent to commit while armed in company, stealing and breach of bail.
He has been remanded in custody and will appear in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on August 28.
A 16-year-old female from Harriston has been charged with one count each of armed robbery, attempted enter dwelling with intent, attempted enter dwelling with intent to commit and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
She was remanded in custody and appeared before the Toowoomba Childrens Court on July 4.
