A young Toowoomba man accused of committing 13 crimes has successfully applied to a court to have his bail changed.

Harrison Jon Gardner, the grandson of Francis Gardner who established FKG Group, appeared at Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Wednesday, June 14, to apply for the bail variation.

Toowoomba police have charged Mr Gardner with eight charges of supplying dangerous drugs, two charges of the unlawful use of motor vehicles, arson of a vehicle, entering a dwelling and commit, entering a dwelling with intent, and wilful damage by graffiti.

The court was told the alleged drug charges arose after police searched through Mr Gardner’s mobile phone.

Mr Gardner successfully sought to change the address nominated in his bail conditions as his parents, who he lived with, had purchased a new home in Toowoomba.

The address was read into the court record.
According to CoreLogic data, Mr Gardner’s parents bought the expansive home for $3.5m.

Magistrate Clare Kelly also agreed to reduce Mr Gardner’s reporting condition, so that he only had to attend the police station once a week.

Ms Kelly noted one of Mr Gardner’s bail conditions, that would not be changed, was a no-contact order with Cameron Smith.

A brief of evidence was ordered.

Mr Gardner’s case will next be before the court on July 12.
