IT must be deeply gratifying being a member of protest outfit, the Extinction Rebellion.
With all that moral superiority, it seems they can do and say as they please regardless of whether their actions are inconvenient, ignorant or downright incoherent.
Waltz onto a busy street and stop people getting to work and dropping the kids off to school? No worries.

Gather in numbers in the middle of a global pandemic despite the risks to other people? Why not? Make demands for a “citizens assembly on climate”? Absolutely.
However, like all those with a moral superiority complex, the Extinction Rebellion crew are unwittingly at risk of being hoist on their own petard.
They are undermining protest rights and the legitimacy of tackling climate change with their immature approach.
And their call for a “citizens assembly” is just downright dumb given we’ve had them for some time. They’re called parliaments.
