A teenager has been charged and her vehicle confiscated after she was allegedly detected speeding on the Hume Highway three times in one day.

The 19-year-old P-plate driver was first pulled over at 10.40am on April 12, at Gunning — about 45km east of Yass — after police received multiple reports of alleged dangerous driving. Police stopped the woman after she was allegedly detected speeding and she was issued an infringement notice for exceeding the speed limit more than 20km/h.

An hour later, officers patrolling the Hume Highway allegedly clocked the woman driving 215km/h in a 110km/h zone at Tumblong.

She was stopped by officers and issued a court attendance notice for drive recklessly/furiously or speed/manner dangerous and P2 driver exceed speed more than 45km/h. Her licence was suspended and her car licence plates confiscated for three months.

About 2.10pm on the same day, the woman was allegedly detected driving at 201km/h in a 110km/h on the Hume Highway at Table Top, 16km north-east of Albury.

She was arrested and taken to Albury Police Station where she was charged with drive reckless/furiously or speed/manner dangerous, class A motor vehicle exceed speed more than 45 km/h, drive motor vehicle while licence suspended, operate vehicle during number-plate confiscation period, and tamper with etc number-plate confiscation notice.

She was granted conditional bail to appear in Albury Local Court on April 30
