A man accused of a massive Clarence Valley drug bust was already on bail for earlier drug charges under a different name when police allegedly uncovered meth, cocaine and cannabis, a court has heard.
A man accused of a massive drug bust was already on bail for earlier drug charges under a different name when police allegedly uncovered the $623,000 haul, a court has heard.
Jason Michael Stewart, 32, appeared in Coffs Harbour Local Court on Tuesday for the earlier charges, where it was heard he also goes by the alias Jason Michael Jamieson – the name under which he faces 45 charges over the alleged September drug bust.
Stewart was granted bail on August 7 for charges including supply prohibited drug, knowingly deal with proceeds of crime, possess prohibited drug, and approval holder not comply with conditions relating to interlock devices.
But he remains in custody after being refused bail under the name Jamieson for the new charges following eight co-ordinated police raids in South Grafton in September.
Police seized drugs estimated to have a street value of $623,000 and $110,000 in cash during the operation, which was part of Strike Force Spalding targeting an alleged drug supply syndicate in the Coffs/Clarence area.
Officers executed the search warrants at 7.10am on Wednesday, 10 September 2025, with support from Polair, the Dogs Squad, the NSW Crime Commission and others.
During the raids, police allegedly uncovered 1.25kg of methylamphetamine, 3.63kg of cannabis, 326g of cocaine, 180g of MDMA, and an electronic stun device.
Jamieson was arrested and taken to Grafton Police Station, where he was charged with 45 offences.
These include multiple counts of drug supply, possession, and dealing with proceeds of crime.
Jamieson was refused bail on September 11 in online Bail Division Court.
Investigations under Strike Force Spalding are ongoing, with police expecting further arrests as inquiries continue.
The South Grafton man will continue to appear under the two aliases when he returns to two separate court locations.
Jason Michael Stewart will appear back in Coffs Harbour Local Court on November 25 for the earlier charges.
Whereas for the charges laid after the September South Grafton raid under the name Jason Michael Jamieson, he will appear at Grafton Local Court on 19 January.
On the latter charges he has not applied for bail and it was formally refused.
No pleas have been entered.
