Fire crews have brought a major house fire under control in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, with all occupants safely accounted for after fears someone may have been trapped inside.

Firefighters have extinguished a major house blaze in Sydney’s east after a frantic search for a person believed to be trapped, with all residents now confirmed to have escaped safely.
Emergency services were called to the scene at Daceyville just after 6am on Thursday, where a property was found fully alight.
More than 20 firefighters and six fire trucks responded, working quickly to battle the flames and search the premises.
Initial fears that someone may have been inside at the time were unfounded, with firefighters confirming all occupants were safely evacuated.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation and the extent of the damage is yet to be determined.
