Three people are in Royal Darwin Hospital after a single vehicle rollover near the intersection of Dorat and Daly River Road at about 5.40pm on Saturday.
Twelve people, including a one-year old baby, were travelling in a canopied four-wheel-drive vehicle when the crash took place.
Nine of the occupants were evacuated by CareFlight to Royal Darwin Hospital, with two males and a female remaining under care.
Passengers on board the vehicle ranged in age from one to 43.
Acting Senior Sergeant Steve Langdon warned motorists travelling near the Dorat and Daly River Road intersections to take care as officers would still be at the scene on Sunday.
“This is an ongoing matter and we have a crime scene in place and we’d urge all motorists to take care while driving near the intersection,” he said.
“Seatbelts will be a factor in this investigation, and the driver remained on the scene and is helping police with our inquiries..”
