Family ‘devastated’ to learn missing man was found dead
The body of missing man Shane Tapp has been found, with his family sharing how heartbroken they were to learn of his death.

The family of missing man Shane Tapp, is devastated in learning of his death.
Mr Tapp was found yesterday afternoon near Knotts Crossing.
His aunty, well known Katherine woman Toni Tapp Coutts said the family was too sad to speak at this time but said they were heartbroken Mr Tapp had died.
“The family is very devastated,” she said.
She said Mr Tapp was her sister’s eldest son.
The 43-year-old was last seen in Katherine on April 3 around 6pm by his partner as he left his home on Gorge Road.
Police have said: “At this stage there are no suspicious circumstances.”

Police put out an alert calling for information on Sunday April 11.
Police have previously said he contacted a friend via phone at 10pm the same night, and has not been seen or heard since.
Detective Senior Sergeant Ian Young said: “Our thoughts are with the man’s family at this time and we ask that their privacy be respected. We would also like to thank everyone who assisted with the search.”
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
