2025-26 NTFL live stream: Watch Wanderers v PINT in Round 9

PINT have secured top spot in the NTFL as their resurgence shows no signs of abating, this time comfortably seeing off the Wanderers. Watch the full Round 9 REPLAY.

PINT turned into the second half of the minor round season on top of the ladder following a convincing after outclassing Wanderers at Tracy Village Oval.

The Greenants are on equal points with Southern Districts with six wins each, but skipped to the top on percentage when they beat the Muk Muks 13.4 (82) to 7.8 (50)

Buoyed by a solid opening term and a string of sound all-round performances both in defence and around the ball, the Ants ran up an 11-point lead at the first break.

They were challenged in the third quarter as Wanderers turned it up a notch, but still PINT saw it through to sail to the top.

As expected, Wanderers began the game full of running and aggression but against the run of play, PINT enjoyed first blood after a clever snap by Noah Spiteri.

And when Jak Trewin marked unopposed 10-metres out, the Ants had pretty much weathered the early assault.

A strong mark and goal by ever-present Eagle forward Frazer Bradley was some consolation for the home side.

A goal inside the first minute of play in the second by dynamic PINT on-baller Cameron Wilson set the scene and when his on-ball partner James Rowe repeated the dose soon after, the scoreboard strongly favoured the visitors.

Daniel Clee’s goal at the halfway mark of the term reduced the margin but Bailey Frauenfelder restored the advantage to 22-points at the long break.

The third term belonged to Wanderers where they returned to their aggressive best, but they could not turn their abundance of possession into scoreboard pressure and although winning the stanza two goals to one, a clear advantage did not eventuate.

PINT big man Brayden Crossley enjoyed a day out in the ruck with his precision tap work, enabling onballers James Rowe and Jacob Dawson to rack up big numbers.

Further afield Jak Trewin, a former Wanderers player, had a significant influence with three goals, while Noah Spiteri and Bailey Frauenfelder kicked two apiece.

As did former AFL Melbourne and Brisbane Lions player Tom Fullarton in his NTFL debut who provided a well-crafted snap to give the visitors more breathing space in the last term.

Leading an array of tough-as-teak onballers who copped plenty but always managed to bounce back into the fray was PINT recruit and vice-captain Cameron Wilson who was unaware the win took his team to the top-of-the-table.

“Obviously it’s nice to sit on top of the ladder but we don’t worry about that too much. It is more important to enjoy the win and prepare for the next game,” Wilson said.

“Wanderers came back hard in the third quarter and while we expected that to happen and for them to bring numbers to the ball and make it congested, we probably gave one too many handballs, so we were as much to blame.

“I’m up from Yarrawonga in Victoria and a couple of us will go home for the break but will be back for the second phase of the season.”

PREVIEW

PINT have kick started their 2025-26 campaign with gusto, but the Wanderers have unearthed a goalkicking weapon that could give them some concerns in round 9.

Every moment of the match will be live streamed from 4pm on Sunday by The NT News and KommunityTV as part of our season-long NTFL coverage.

WHY TO WATCH

Wanderers’ recruit Frazer Bradley was the standout man against Tiwi in Wanderers’ last outing, scoring six of their eight goals.

It was reflective of his performances for South Australian club Hatherleigh earlier in the year in which he scored 109 goals from 17 games, and the Muk Muks will be hoping he can produce something similar as the season goes on.

Cody Leggett, Billy Shanks and Tyler Phillips are the other big inclusions for the Muk Muks, who are trying to climb up the ladder.

One of the big improvers this season is PINT who sit second on the ladder at the midway point of the season after missing the finals in 2024-25.

Forward recruiting has also been a key reason for PINT’s improvement with Noah Spiteri bursting onto the scene with eight goals on debut a number of weeks ago.

James Rowe remains one of the most influential recruits of the season while the likes of James Boyer and Connor McDonald have also enjoyed huge starts to their year.
