One man reportedly stumbled onto the road and hit the car, which stopped to help him.
A group from nearby flats then came to the scene and begun attacking the driver who had to defend themself before driving to the nearby shops to call the police and ambulance.

Both pedestrians were taken to hospital in a stable condition.
