The devastated father of murdered Toyah Cordingley has shared a heartbreaking video on his first birthday without his only daughter.

TOYAH Cordingley’s father has shared the heartache of celebrating his first birthday without his only daughter.

Sharing a video on social media that the 24-year-old created for his birthday last year, Troy Cordingley said yesterday was “very hard without my brighteyes”.

The 1 minute and 45 second video features a series of photos and clips of the pair together.

It has attracted hundreds of comments and shares.

“ … it is very personal to me and I had a difficult time deciding to post it,” he said.

“I realised that I needed to show you what a beautiful and caring soul my brighteyes has.

“To all the people that had such wonderful things to say … Toyah is with me now, and we love you all.”

Determined not lose hope that his daughter’s killed will be found, Mr Cordingley reiterated one simple message: “we will never give up”.

To date, appeals to the public have resulted in more than 1200 calls to Crime Stoppers.

Police say the calls have “played a vital role in assisting police to piece together what happened to Toyah both before and after her death”.

“Queensland Police continue to encourage positive community support for Toyah and her family and urge anyone who may have information relating to Toyah’s death to talk with police or remain anonymous and contact Crime Stoppers (1800 333 000),” a Queensland Police spokeswoman said.
