GOLD Coast police say investigations into the brutal slaying of a Comanchero bikie and his business partner have not hit a dead end, despite a desperate appeal for public assistance.
Detective Acting Inspector Chris Tritton spoke at Martin Sheils Park today, where bikie and Monstr clothing founder Shane Ross, 36, was shot in the head and died on Friday, October 18.
His mate Cameron Martin, 47, died in the mangled wreck of a white Mercedes sedan, which struck a tree while travelling near the park, along Tallebudgera Creek Rd, the same day.
Police later determined Martin had been shot in the chest.
Mr Ross’s body was found by a friend three days later, on Monday, October 21.
“We don’t have a dead end,” Act Insp Tritton said.
“We know this will be a lengthy investigation. At this point, we’re after as much ground information as we can (obtain) to assist us,” he said.
“We’re really relying on the public to assist us to best paint the picture of what occurred here on the night of October 18.”

Act Insp Tritton said police had not heard from a third person reported staggering near the park.
“At this point, we don’t believe there was a third person involved but that could change with information,” he said.
“We don’t believe we have an outstanding victim.”
Act Insp Tritton said he was “really hopeful” of obtaining useful dashcam footage
He said police were concerned footage captured by passing motorists could be deleted as storage devices roll over and record fresh data.
“At this point, being two weeks on, we’re making that final appeal to trigger the memories of people as they travel through this location,” Act Insp Tritton said.
“As I say, because of the period of time that we’re behind, most investigations we get the best evidence in the first 24 to 48 hours, and we’ve lost that opportunity.”
Police have launched Operation Romeo Masking to investigate deaths of the two men on October 18.
A a re-enactment will be held at Martin Sheils Park about 7pm tonight, involving a white 2015 Mercedes Benz C200 sedan, similar to the car Martin was driving.
The reenactment will involve the questioning of passing motorists.
