Dad's hilarious reaction to toddler's tantrum

Dad’s “patient” and “tolerant” reaction to toddler’s tantrum goes viral

A mum has shared a hilarious video of her child throwing a hissy-fit following a trip to the supermarket.

“Our two-year-old refused to walk to the house,” the mum captioned the clip. “So my husband did this…”

Taking groceries out of the car, the toddler can be seen lying on the ground behind the vehicle, not moving a muscle.

Closing the door and without batting an eye, the dad grabs the child’s jacket with one hand and lifts her off the ground.

He walks to the front door with groceries in one hand and the toddler in the other, still in the same stiff position she was on the ground.

The video amassed hundreds of comments, with many praising how nonchalant the “badass” father was during the toddler’s outburst.

“He didn’t lose his cool at all,” wrote one impressed person. “Kiddos do have their moments.”

“Well done, Dad! The patience and tolerance he must have had!” another added. “That’s the ‘I’m done with this sh*t, let’s go’ move,” an entertained person commented.

Some expressed their jealousy of the toddler. “That looks so comfortable,” one laughed. “I want to do that.”

“Looks like Dad had to do this before … betcha the kid loved it!” said another.

“Looks like Dad had to do this before…”

While the video is lighthearted and funny, some people weren’t so amused.

One person “hated” the video and accused the parent of being “affectionless”.

“One should respect their kid's emotions and feelings,” they wrote.

Some suggested that the parent “leave the child” lying on the ground. “Kids nowadays are so spoiled,” they added. “I hope you never have kids!” others commented in response.

Others said that the father was “abusing” the child with the act. “Omg, I can’t believe he would do that, that’s child abuse,” said a peeved parent.

In response, parents doubted their past experience with a child's tantrums. “Honey, you ain’t never had a toddler!” a supporter argued.

“She’s secure and safe and still able to throw her temper tantrum in the safe quarters of home!” another added. “I’d continue unpacking and not giving in to her tantrum.”
