Miley Cyrus will headline a Melbourne bushfire relief concert with special guests in the lead up to next month’s Australian Grand Prix.
Rap star Lil Nas X, Aussie pop duo The Veronicas and DJ Seb Fontaine will join the US singer at the March 13 fundraiser at Lakeside Stadium.
Money raised from ticket sales to the World Tour Bushfire Relief gig will go to charities helping communities and animals hit hard by this summer’s natural disasters.
Cyrus – who has spent time in Victoria with former husband, Aussie actor Liam Hemsworth – is also expected to make a donation of her own to the cause.
The Herald Sun’s Page 13 revealed earlier this month that the Wrecking Ball singer was expected to perform in Melbourne as Grand Prix organisers rev up off track musical offerings.
Tickets to the fundraiser will go on sale on Tuesday.
The Herald Sun also revealed UK crooner Robbie Williams would perform in Melbourne as part of Grand Prix weekend, on March 14.
Australian Grand Prix motorsport, entertainment and industry general manager Craig Fletcher said it would be “a blockbuster live show”.
”We thank everyone involved for their commitment and hard work to bring this fantastic event to our wonderful city,” he said.
Charities to benefit from the fundraiser include WWF Australian Wildlife and Nature Recovery Fund and the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal.
