Disgusting graffiti has appeared at shelters on popular Sydney beaches overnight.
The graffiti with the word “HAMAS” was spray painted in black on public shelters, at Bronte, Tamarama and Bondi beaches on Sunday night.
Hamas is the name of the militant Islamic movement in the Middle East fighting a bitter war against Israel.
Red tape has been placed over the graffiti by council rangers and will be painted over.
Strike Force Cadomin has been set up to investigate the incident.
