GOLD Coast City Council has seized two dogs after they attacked a woman as investigations continue into the harrowing incident at Coomera.

Emergency services were called to Genesis Residents Club on Synergy Dr at Coomera on Monday after the dogs – reported to be pit bull terriers – attacked about 3.30pm.

It’s understood two young children were with the woman at the time.

The woman suffered arm and hand injuries, but critical care paramedics were not required to attend the scene, according to a Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman.

The woman was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

Queensland Police said they assisted Gold Coast City Council officers at the scene.

On Tuesday morning, a council spokeswoman stated: “The City is aware of a dog attack that occurred at Coomera yesterday, with animal management officers attending the scene.”

“Two dogs have been seized while investigations are underway,”she said.

Earlier: Two dogs have attacked a woman at a Gold Coast recreation centre while her children were nearby.

Queensland Police and Queensland Ambulance crews were called to Genesis Residents Club on Synergy Dr, Coomera about 3.30pm following a reported dog attack.

It is understood two pitbulls attacked the woman, with her two young children in the centre at the time.

An ambulance spokeswoman said the woman suffered arm and hand injuries, but critical care paramedics did not attend the scene.

The woman was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

Police said they assisted Gold Coast City Council officers at the scene.

Toddler pulled from pool in scary near-drowning

January 27: A toddler has been rushed to hospital after almost drowning in a pool at a Gold Coast home.

Paramedics, including critical care and high acuity response units, were called to a property located off Gold Coast Highway at Miami just before 1pm Saturday.

One patient, a little boy, was assessed at the scene.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said the boy was found in a backyard pool at the property.

The boy has been taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

Police were also in attendance.

Woman hospitalised with burns after gas bottle explodes

January 27: A woman has sustained burns to her body after a gas bottle ignited at a Gold Coast home.

Emergency crews were called to reports of a gas bottle explosion at a private residence in Benowa just after midday on Thursday.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said a female, aged in her 50s, was assessed at the scene but did not sustain serious injuries.

The spokesman could not confirm the extent of the woman’s burns.

She was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
