POLICE are searching for the driver of a car which wreaked New Year’s Day havoc on roads across the Gold Coast.
On Sunday January 1, police allege a brown Holden Commodore sedan with Queensland registration 845FZ6 was involved in a number of incidents in Miami, Burleigh Waters and in the vicinity of the Gold Coast Hwy, Dawn Pde, Lutana Ave and Lorikeet Ln.
Police say the car did burnouts on Dawn Pde and Lutana Ave, leaving marks on a driveway, and was involved in a road rage incident on the same day where a female driver was involved in an altercation with a man driving a dark coloured SUV on Lorikeet Ln.
Between 2.50pm and 3.15pm, the woman allegedly stopped in front of the SUV, exited the driver’s seat and ran at the other vehicle, a Queensland Police Service spokesperson said.
Police are appealing to any witnesses with dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward via Policelink on police.qld.gov.au/reporting or by contacting Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
