A talent search to fill the Glitter Strip’s most sparkling roles is attracting national interest.

Broadbeach Spiegelclub The Pink Flamingo is casting a wide net for dancers, vocalists and feature act performers for its 2023 shows, hosting auditions on the Gold Coast on November 14, in Sydney on November 21 and in Melbourne on November 22.

Venue Co-Director Sue Porrett said competition would be fierce for 20 new roles created for two secret new shoes.

“Audition registrations have been of epic proportions,” she said.

“It’s an exciting time to be on the Gold Coast, so the high demand to live and perform here is hardly surprising.

“This is a truly unique opportunity to wow hundreds of guests each week in one of Australia’s most sought after places to call home.

“We want to see everyone. Whatever your quirk, whatever your talent is – we welcome you to show us what you’ve got.”

Ms Porrett recently returned from an international reconnaissance trip with her production team.

“Having experienced the echelon of entertainment and arts overseas, we are proud of our strong position in the Australian market,” she said.

“We know our entertainment offering is on par with the best in the world.

“Our focus now is to secure and retain the best talent to consistently evolve, deliver bigger and better shows.”

Rudi Testa, who plays French party host Monsieur Jerome, said performing with Pink Flamingo offered him the chance to do what he loved most – entertain people.

“I (have also loved) watching the Gold Coast grow over the years and truly become an internationally recognised destination for arts and entertainment,” he said.
