She was taken to Toowoomba Hospital, but then transferred by helicopter to the Princess Alexandra Hospital, and is now in a stable condition, but remains in the ICU there.

Ms Knighted has started a fundraiser for her sister’s recovery and wanted to give a “big thank you to the community for their support” at this time.

“We would really appreciate your help to get her back on her feet while she is in recovery and afterwards,” she said.

Ms Duke was riding south through the lights at the intersection of West and Stenner St at 6pm when the crash happened.

Ms Duke was taken to Toowoomba Hospital that evening, but was soon flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, were she was operated on in the early morning.

Multiple emergency crews were on scene as the road remained blocked for several hours.

Investigations are ongoing, police said.
