Woman gored in horror Qld boar attack
A woman in her 50s has been gored by a boar tusk with paramedics rushing to her aid in the early hours of the morning.

Paramedics have raced to the aid of a woman who was gored by a boar tusk in the early hours of Friday.
She had been at a location on Sullivan Rd at Berajondo between Bundaberg and Gladstone when the horror incident occurred about 1.11am.
Queensland Ambulance Service reported the woman in her 50s suffered a leg injury.
Paramedics were called to the scene where she was assessed and taken to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition.
Boar attacks in Queensland are not common but can occur in areas with high feral pig populations.
Feral pigs including wild boars are known to be aggressive when they feel threatened or when competing for resources.

While most attacks are not fatal, boars can use their tusks to cause serious injuries including deep wounds, bite marks and broken bones.
Some victims have suffered significant tissue damage, nerve damage and life-altering injuries.
