Two vehicles have collided at an intersection in Hervey Bay

A Hervey Bay intersection has been temporarily closed following a dramatic T-bone collision that miraculously left both drivers with only minor injuries.

Two drivers have walked away virtually unscathed after a dramatic morning collision that caused delays to a major intersection east of Hervey Bay.

Emergency services rushed to the Kawungan scene about 9.30am after reports two cars collided at the intersection of Oleander Ave and Denmans Camp Rd.

A spokesman for Queensland Ambulance Services said both occupants of the cars escaped with minor injuries and did not need to be taken to hospital.

One vehicle reportedly T-boned the other, but more details are unknown at this time.
