A man has died five days after a crash that claimed the life of his girlfriend.
Queensland Police have confirmed 27-year-old David Connolly died in hospital on Sunday following a traffic crash in Dalby on November 1.
Mr Connolly was sitting in the passenger seat of a car driven by his girlfriend 23-year-old Brooke Dalton, who tragically died at the scene Tuesday morning.
Initial investigations indicate that their silver Holden Commodore sedan collided with the rear of a parked prime mover on Nicholson Street in Dalby about 1.25am that day.
Mr Connolly was initially taken to Toowoomba hospital in a critical condition and later transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital where he passed away.
Investigators are renewing appeals for anyone who may have seen the Holden Commodore in the area at the time, or who may have relevant dashcam footage to contact police.
The Forensic Crash Unit investigation is continuing.
