Four people were taken to hospital after a car crashed into a concrete wall at a major car show event southwest of Brisbane.
Emergency services were called to the Queensland Raceway at Willowbank in Ipswich shortly before 6pm on Saturday, where the Supercheap Auto-sponsored ‘Powercruise Day 1 Powerplay’ event was being held.
Powercruise Promotions confirmed a Holden car crashed into a wall during the event, injuring four people - two women aged 31 and 32, a 41-year-old man and a 15-year-old girl.

A spokesperson for Powercruise Promotions said the car crashed due to a mechanical failure of the left rear wheel nuts that broke off causing the car to hit a concrete wall.
“As standard procedure any cars that hit walls all occupants are transported to hospital for observation even though all occupants walked away from the car,” they said.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said there were “very vague” injury details.
Two people were taken to Ipswich Hospital in stable conditions and the other two to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in serious but stable conditions.
