Pacific Motorway delays after four-car crash at Eight Mile Plains

Two people have been left in a critical condition following separate crashes in South East Queensland this morning, including one on the Pacific Motorway that caused large delays for motorists.

A serious four-vehicle crash is causing traffic chaos on the Pacific Motorway at Eight Mile Plains with delays of up to 40 minutes.

A Police spokesman said the crash involving four vehicles occurred in the left lane of the Pacific Motorway just before Underwood Rd about 6.30am.

Motorists have been advised to avoid the area with the Forensic Crash Unit tasked to the scene.

Four people were taken to hospital following the serious crash, including a male in a critical condition. The other three people involved were stable.

Meanwhile, a girl has been taken to Queensland Children’s Hospital in Brisbane after a serious crash at Caboolture this morning.

A vehicle crashed into a power pole on Caboolture River Rd just before 9am.

Energex is also on the scene, with power cut to 27 properties in surrounding streets.

A man in his sixties was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition.
