Police appeal for witnesses to collision involving car, motorbike at Loganholme

Police have appealed for information after a horrific crash involving a car and motorbike left a 28-year-old man with critical head injuries.

Police are investigating after four people were hospitalised in a crash involving a motorbike and car outside a school in Logan this morning.

A 28-year-old motorbike rider remains in a critical condition with head injuries after his Kawasaki motorbike collided with a 2003 Nissan Pulsar outside St Matthews Catholic Primary School at Loganholme about 8.45am.

Police said early investigations indicated that the Tingalpa rider was travelling eastbound along Bryants Rd when he hit the gold sedan as it turned onto Torres Street.

Critical care paramedics treated the rider who sustained significant head injuries.

He was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.

The 17-year-old female driver of Nissan, 59-year-old male passenger and 15-year old female passenger all received minor injuries and were transported to Logan Hospital for treatment.

The Forensic Crash Unit appealed to any witnesses – or anyone who may have captured dashcam footage of the incident – to come forward.

Investigations continue.
