A man has died after his car slammed into a bus in heavy rain on the Gold Coast.
The tragedy happened at the corner of Essendon Place and Ron Penhaligon Way at Robina just after 4pm.
It’s understood the car ran into the back of the bus with six passengers on board. The driver of the car, believed to be aged in his 50s, died at the scene after his vehicle was lodged under the bus.
Firemen had to cut the victim from his badly-mangled vehicle, a white Toyota Camry.
It’s believed the Surfside bus was stationary when the crash happened.
