Firefighters battle boarding house blaze in Toowoomba
Firefighters have battled two large fires in Toowoomba on Tuesday afternoon with one destroying a boarding house that a woman and child safely evacuated from.

Firefighters are battling a blaze that ignited at a boarding house in Toowoomba on Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to a reported structure fire at Hill St, Toowoomba at about 4.20pm.
On arrival, firefighters found the boarding house fully alight, with smoke and flames emitting from the dwelling.
There were concerns that a woman and child were inside the dwelling at the time of the fire, but everyone has now been accounted for.
According to a Queensland Fire Department, firefighters are working to put the fire out and there was still some smouldering in the building as of 5pm.
Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics and Queensland Police Service officers are at the scene.
Police have commenced an investigation into the circumstances of the fire and a crime scene has been declared.
Shortly afterwards, firefighters were called to a separate structure fire at the intersection of Hume St and Bridge St, North Toowoomba.
On arrival, crews found a shed that was well engulfed by flames, in close proximity to houses on either side.
Firefighters had the shed fire under control at 6.30pm.
Police have also launched an investigation into the circumstances of the shed fire.
