A QFES spokesperson said firefighters have already started battling several grass fires leading into the weekend due to weather.
A vegetation fire near Anzac Avenue in Kallangur was expected to cause smoke haze throughout Friday night.
QFES added that multiple grass fires had broken out in paddocks and bush areas around Mingo in Bundaberg on Friday.
“Fire Danger Rating is expected to hit extreme on Monday,” QFES said.
This comes after a fire ban was issued earlier this week, banning fires in the South East throughout Wednesday following an extreme fire danger warning issued by the Bureau of Meteorology.
